Kate Buckley, an eighth generation Kentucky native, was educated at Transylvania University and the University of Kentucky. She currently lives in Laguna Beach, California and works in advertising. Buckley recently participated in a workshop with Sharon Olds at the 2006 Palm Beach Poetry Festival, and was invited to be a featured poet at the Palm Springs Book Festival and the 2006 Orange County Poetry Festival (Best of New Voices).
